Get the most out of your brainstorming sessions and most creative moments!


How to start a session

1. Go to a Confluence page or create one

2. Add the Brainwrite macro to the page

Each macro represents an active session.

 

3. Publish the site and click on the macro

 

4. Now you are in your first active Brainwrite session. Everyone you share this link with can join the session and write inputs

 


Create stickies

1. Click somewhere on the canvas where you want to place a new sticky

 

2. Type your thoughts, ideas, notes or what ever into the textfield and press (⏎) enter or click the icon with the check mark

3. You can drag the stickies around by pressing/holding and moving your cursor

 

4. Trash stickies you don't need anymore by pressing the cross (⤬) in the upper right corner of the sticky

 


Choose from default canvases

1. Click the menu icon in the upper left corner of the browser window to access the menu

2. Navigate to the second tab. Here you can choose from our default method canvases

 


Upload your own canvas

Make sure you use Chrome.

 

1. Click the menu icon in the upper left corner of the browser window to access the menu

2. Navigate to the second tab and press the big plus

4. Choose an image from your harddrive

5. Now you are set and ready to go with your canvas

 


Type inputs with other devices and push them to Brainwrite

You might want to use Brainwrite in a collocated setting with your team on a large screen or touchscreen. Here is how everyone of your team can easily connect his device to write inputs from his own device.

 

1. Click the menu icon in the upper left corner of the browser window to access the menu

2. Navigate to the first tab

3. Let everyone scan the QR code. Now they can enter and place inputs on the board


How it's documented in Confluence

As long as your macro is on a site you can always check back to the session. All your changes are instantly saved. To exit a Brainwrite session just close the browser window. The image in Confluence get's updated every minute.
